Formula 1 has a new world champion that goes by the name of Max Verstappen. The 24-year old Red Bull Racing Honda F1 driver clinched the world championship in a dramatic Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Verstappen’s win gave Honda its first F1 world championship in 30 years.

Fresh from clinching its F1 world title, Verstappen is parting ways with its company car as he announced that he is selling his Honda Civic Type R. The said car is said to be what Verstappen used to get to and from the racing circuits on the different stages of the 2021 F1 season. The F1 champ had one last drive with his Civic Type R before listing it online for sale.
Verstappen’s Honda Civic Type R that’s for sale will be revealed on December 17, and it will officially go on sale on the online car listing platform CarNext on December 23. The car will also come with Vertappen’s autograph, which is on the Civic Type R’s dashboard.

The F1 champ’s car will be sold for 33,333 Euros, a nod to his number 33 Formula 1 car. In case you’re wondering, the car price is around Php 1.889 million based on direct currency conversion. It will be reportedly sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
“I’m very pleased that I can sell my car for such a good cause as Wings for Life. For a final goodbye to the car, I took it for one last drive, as you can see in the campaign. I hope the new owner will enjoy the car as much as I did,” Verstappen said.
