Lebanon-based car company EV Electra has released the country’s first-ever car model. It’s called the Electra Quds Rise, and it’s a fully electric-powered two-seater sports car with a claimed electric vehicle (EV) range of 450 kilometers.
The EV Electra Quds Rise looks like this
Now apart from being an EV, the Rise’s design looks rather interesting. At a glance, one can spot that the car comes with an aggressive look, but that’s normal for most sports cars. Then again, it also features some weirdly proportioned sections like its bulging quarter panels and its mountainous-looking roof. The front end is especially “striking” with its pair of headlamps that appear to be too huge for the width of the car, which is coupled with an equally expansive lower mesh intake.
A view of the car from the side
Speaking of width, the pictures posted on the official EV Electra website shows a car that’s seemingly compressed. It features those valley-like body panels, but those look as if they don’t match the width of the car. It’s as if a large man with bulging muscles was wearing a shirt three sizes too small. Some might like that in a car, so who are we to judge?
Inside the Electra Quds Rise EV
Mechanically, the car seems sound. It uses an electric motor capable of making up to 160 horsepower. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a single-speed tranny. Of note, its top speed is limited to 165 km/h. It can, at least according to its manufacturer, achieve a zero to 100 km/h time of just five seconds.

The interior also looks minimalist but comfy. It's equipped with a massive 15-inch touchscreen, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, and sports seats with what looks like significant bolstering.
Its got a pretty busy-looking rear end as well
As Lebanon’s first-ever home-grown production car, EV Electra is rather proud of the Rise. As such, they are planning to make around 10,000 units by 2022. Jihan Mohammad, the Lebanese guy on the helm of the said company, is also planning to expand to other markets soon.
It looks rather unique
So, what do you think of the EV Electra Rise? Does it look alright, or does it look too unorthodox for your tastes?
