Delivery Service Company Lalamove in the Philippines has seen a 200-percent year-on-year growth in deliveries which created more opportunities for partner-drivers. One of the main reasons for Lalamove’s growth in the country is the COVID-19 pandemic that restricted the person-to-person interaction for safety measures.
To address the growing demand for Lalamove’s services, the courier service company officially signed a partnership with the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to prevent illegal movement of contraband in the country through online delivery services. This is a vital initiative made by Lalamove for the country considering that most business or personal transactions are now made online.

The partnership between both parties will help assure users of Lalamove’s delivery services that the packages are drug-free. It is a step for Lalamove to assist the government’s campaign of eliminating illegal chemicals and other forms of criminality today.
Since it is officially signed, Lalamove in the Philippines is now the first delivery app in Metro Manila to partner with the NCRPO for eliminating illegal movements within the deliveries. Atty. Joy Cañeba, Head of Regulatory and Strategy of Lalamove, expressed her appreciation for the NCRPO for keeping its deliveries safe and secured.

Regional Director of NCRPO, Police Major General Vicente D. Danao Jr., also expressed his gratitude towards Lalamove for the cooperation. Accredited driver-partners of Lalamove will also be examined to make sure that they are not involved in any illegal activity.
In addition, Lalamove’s partnership with the NCRPO isn’t the only effort the delivery service company conducted for safer deliveries. Last November 2020, Lalamove partners with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) to assure users of the app that the deliveries are drug-free.
