JAC to debut X100 commercial vehicle at 2022 MIAS 

At the 2022 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), JAC Philippines will go big. This is because it has announced that it will be launching a new light commercial vehicle (LCV) for the local market. It’s called the JAC X100, and according to the brand, it is a reliable “JAC-of-all-trades" due to its versatility.

When it comes to its looks, it's as simple as any of the current LCVs on the market today. It even gets the typical LCV white paint job. 

But while it is indeed spartan, it does get a sleek and aerodynamic front end with a pair of halogen headlamps, and front fog lamps. It also gets power windows and power-adjustable side mirrors, as well as a built-in front air-conditioning system. Air-conditioning is also available for the rear cabin (FB), though that is optional.

As for its rear, JAC says that it can accommodate different configurations. But from the factory, it may come in an 18-seater FB body form which can do great as an employee shuttle. It also has enough volume to double-function as a logistics solution for businesses. For an all-out cargo truck, it may also come in an aluminum van form while a cab-and-chassis configuration is also available.  

Under the hood, the JAC X100 uses a 1.8-liter turbodiesel engine, which is capable of making up to 67 horsepower and 170 Nm of torque. The said engine is then paired with a five-speed manual gearbox sending power to the rear. The aforementioned engine is also compliant with Euro-4 emissions standards.

Suspension-wise, it gets leaf springs for both the front and rear. This enables it to carry up to 1,000 kilograms. It then has a wheelbase length of 2,600mm.
