2020 JAC S4 is a fully-loaded crossover for just a hair over P1-milliion

To further expand its foothold in the Philippine crossover market, the Triesenburg Auto Corp. (TAC), the official distributor of JAC vehicles here in the Philippines, has launched the 2020 JAC S4.

Now, the JAC S4 has four variants, the first three of which are below Php 1 million in price. The top-of-the-line S4 Ultimate on the other hand sits at Php 1,058,000 but its surprising amount of features presents an attractive proposition for someone who’s currently in the market for a compact crossover.

The JAC S4 in of itself is also an attractive looking crossover.

The JAC S4 has loads of toys and gadgets one would expect to find in more expensive cars. It has a power moonroof, a power tailgate, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, automatic climate control with rear vents, a fully digital instrument cluster, as well as a ten-inch touchscreen infotainment.

The JAC S4's neatly arranged, feature rich interior. 

The S4 also has loads of safety features starting with its host of driver assist technologies like blind spot monitoring, front collision warning, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, tire pressure monitoring, a 360-degree camera, and cruise control. Like many modern vehicles, the S4 lineup comes standard with dual front airbags, stability control, an electronic parking brake, and anti-lock braking with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD).

Propelling the JAC S4 Ultimate, as well as its other variants, is a 1.5-liter inline-4 turbo gasoline engine that can churn out 147 horsepower and 210 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission. With that kind of power in mind, the JAC S4 is poised to compete against the likes of the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Kona, Geely Coolray, and the MG ZS.
