Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) donated one unit of Isuzu Ambulance to Likhaan Center for Women’s Health (Likhaan). The unit turnover happened last February 16 at the Isuzu Quezon Ave. dealership.
IPC donated one unit of its Isuzu Ambulance to Likhaan
The donation was made possible by the partnership between INTECO Isuzu Group of Dealership and Women’s Business Council Philippines, Inc. (WomenBizPH). Likhaan will use the ambulance unit to assist its continuous program and advocacy in promoting health care for underprivileged youth and women.
Present at the turnover ceremony were key officials from concerned parties including Risa Hontiveros, Philippine Senator and Women’s Right Advocate; Dr. Guy Claudio, Likhaan Center for Women’s Health Chairman of the Board; Mylene Abiva, WomenBizPH Chairperson, and Yasuhiko Oyama, INTECO President and CEO.
IPC didn’t disclose the specifications of the Isuzu Ambulance. But looking at the badges, the turnover unit is based on the Isuzu NHR van. The standard version comes with semi-elliptic leaf springs at the front and rear, a set of 15-inch wheels, and multi-reflector headlamps with integrated park and signal lamps.

Powering the Isuzu-made commercial vehicle (CV) is a 2.8-liter 4JB1 inline-4 diesel engine good for 79 horsepower and 175 Nm of torque. The power unit is connected to a 5-speed manual transmission (MSB-5S) with overdrive.
To make it ready for Likhaan’s operations, the Isuzu Ambulance was designed by Anos Research Manufacturing to comply with the Department of Health’s (DOH) standards.
“I have no doubt that this N-Series ambulance with its proven transport efficiency, safety, reliability, and durability will go a long way to save lives and improve the quality of life of many Filipino women,” said Oyama.
The donated unit will be used for a good cause
Likhaan Center for Women’s Health is a non-government organization that advocates for health and equality, particularly for women, the poor, and disadvantaged people. Meanwhile, WomenBizPH is an advocacy group and the lead private sector of the government composed of the country’s top women business leaders and entrepreneurs, which promotes and empowers women.
