The new e-Scooter is ideal for short commute trips, such as around the city or on college campuses. It has a sleek and compact design that can be fit almost practically anywhere when folded. Moreover, prospective buyers can personalize the vehicle on the flat body with their design that doubles as a case for storage.

Honda brings back the Motocompacto

“Motocompacto is uniquely Honda – a fun, innovative, and unexpected facet of our larger electrification strategy,” said American Honda Motor Co. Vice President of the R&D Business Unit Jane Nakagawa.

Specs-wise, the Honda Motocompacto e-Scooter is powered by an electric motor that generates 490W and 16 Nm of torque, enabling a top speed of 24 km/h. It also comes with a 6.8Ah battery that offers a maximum range of up to 19 km and a charging time of just 3.5 hours using 110 volts.

The e-Scooter spans 968 mm in length, 437 mm in width, and 889 mm in height. The dimensions get smaller when the vehicle is folded – enough to be stored at the back of a car. It also weighs just over 18 kg.

Other amenities include a digital speedometer, a cushy seat, and a smartphone phone that enables users to adjust the vehicle’s settings via Bluetooth.

Aside from the compact mobility solution, the e-Scooter joins other Honda electric vehicles (EVs), such as the Honda e, in helping riders reduce their carbon footprint. Locally, Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) is championing such an initiative with the all-new 2024 CR-V, which boasts a cleaner hybrid system.

“Sold in conjunction with our new all-electric SUVs, Motocompacto supports our goal of carbon neutrality by helping customers with end-to-end zero-emissions transport,” added Nakagawa.
