Competition is a word common in the business world, and the car industry is no different. Manufacturers of vehicles, especially those of the same line of product specifications continue to make sure they are ahead of their competition. That is through their units’ designs and levels of safety, reliability, and performance.
Hold your breath and look at the Hennessey Venom F5 2020
When it comes to sports or race cars, speed is one of the factors that must be met. Recently, the Bugatti Chiron was recognized as the fastest car through its 300MPH or 480+KPH speed. With this, the car manufacturer Hennessey Performance aims to break the record through its Hennessey Venom F5 2020.
What does this vehicle have to offer? Let this Philkotse.com post give you an overview of the soon-to-be-launched model from the popular American brand.
Hennessey Venom F5 2020
Sporting a slim, athletic look, the Venom F5 has an excellent power-to-weight ratio, which means it is lightweight but delivers great power. That said since the brand is committed to being the producer of the fastest car in the world, the engine of the F5 has been designed to meet such.
The engine
Named Fury, the F5 engine is uniquely designed to reduce the produced inlet air temperature before the charge air reaches the vehicle’s combustion chamber. This means that there are better power efficiency and a higher level of air density.
This is owed to the fact that the engine’s air-to-water intercooler system has been placed between its aluminum cylinder heads and plenum.

Additionally, the engine has an oiling system of the Dailey Engineering 4 Stage billet dry sump variety, making sure the synthetic oil used, specifically Pennzoil 10w60, continues to flow through the engine’s heart and maintains an 8000RPM borderline.
Being built in Texas, USA and sporting the classic V8/LS construction, the twin-turbo V8 engine of the Hennessey Venom F5 has lightweight and high-tech aluminum-forged pistons, steel-forged H-bean connecting rods, steel crankshaft, and steel-forged engine block, giving it a 6.6L displacement.
Fury also has titanium compressor housings that are 3D printed, plus two Precision ball bearing twin turbochargers with each having a rating of 1,350bhp. Such a rating gives it a boost pressure of 23PSI at 1,817bhp.
All the components incorporated allow the car to deliver a maximum total power of 1817bhp at a speed of 8000RPM and total torque of 1193 lb-ft at 5,500RPM. This surely exceeded the goals of the manufacturer, which is impressive!
