Geely Philippines has successfully held its first G-Fest event. Organized in partnership with the Geely Car Club Philippines (GCCPH), the event saw the attendance of Sojitz G Auto Philippine (SGAP) executives, as well as the My Geely Story contest. It likewise coincides with GCCPH’s anniversary.

The My Geely Story contest, as per its name, showcased Geely owners’ stories which revolved around their most cherished moments and memories together with their cars. It not only served to highlight their love for the brand, but it also contributed to a meaningful fundraiser.
Those who won the My Geely Story include Standley Bernardo in first place with his “Live at First Car” story. In second place is John Hans O. Caturas with his story entitled “Search for the Perfect Compact SUV.” Coming in third place, meanwhile, is Louie Bejer with his “Travel Memories with the Bronx.” Of note, all of these ownership stories can be viewed via the official GCCPH Facebook group.
During the event, outgoing SGAP President and CEO Yugo Kiyofuji expressed his gratitude to GCCPH. “You are the ones who first believed in our brand, loved it, and supported it ever since. As such, we are honored to be here to celebrate your anniversary. We feel as if we grew up together,” Kiyofuji said.

To give back to its faithful clients, Geely has since rolled out the G-Serv Plus - an after-sales service that provides a five-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty, and a one-year roadside assistance package, among other benefits.
Note that SGAP, the official distributor of Geely vehicles in the Philippines, will be seeing a new President and CEO by 2024. Incoming to step into the role previously held by Kiyofuji is Naoyuki Takeda.
According to SGAP, Takeda has been a part of the company for a long time. His leadership was pivotal when SGAP was a Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation shareholder. He also has an extensive background in the automotive industry, particularly in the Philippine market.
