Dubbed as the “2gether 2 Get There,” GAC Motor Philippines gathered officials from its local distributors to discuss its plans, programs, and strategies for 2022. The Chinese marque aims to achieve higher sales and a stronger market presence through marketing and after-sales strategies.

“This year, we will be focusing on giving training programs to our dealer partners, not just on the technical side, but also on building the self-confidence of our sales agents by gearing them with sufficient knowledge about the brand and vehicle models being sold in the country,” said GAC Motor Philippines San Juan Development Manager Ma. Hilda San Juan.'

Currently, the local lineup includes GA4, GM8, GN6, GS3, GS4, and GN8. These car models will help bring more customers to the brand for this year. The GAC GA4 recently showcased the toughness and reliability of the GAC vehicles after finishing second at the 2021 Kalayaan Cup Endurance Race.

As for the brand’s dealer network, the company announced that it will open more outlets in the southern area including Bacoor, Tacloban, and Iloilo to reach more customers. Efforts such as expanding its mall displays will be launched to grow its presence locally.

GAC Motor Philippines acknowledged that it is currently not as popular as some of its Chinese rivals such as Geely. But with the products and strategies laid out for 2022, the company is confident that it won’t be long before it becomes as competitive as other Chinese automakers in the country.

“We all know that we are not as popular as Geely, MG, Changan, and Chery, but as we start a standard to our brand, slowly we but surely we will become one of them. With the quality of our products, I’m sure that Filipinos will patronize it,” GAC Motor Philippines President and CEO Wilbert Lim.
