Next-gen Ford vehicles up for test drive in Laguna, Pampanga this month

The Ford Island Conquest (FIC) test drive event is heading to the province of Laguna, followed by Pampanga this October. This follows its stint in the island province of Cebu earlier this month.

Specifically, the experiential test drive event will be held at the Ayala Malls Solenad in Sta. Rosa, Laguna from October 13 to 15, 2023. After that, it will make a stop at SM City Pampanga from October 27 to 29, 2023. 

For both venues, the FIC will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Attendees may get to see Ford’s lineup of vehicles including the next-gen Ranger, Territory, and Everest in the metal via an in-mall display. 

If that isn’t enough, those interested may also get the chance to give these Ford models a spin via on-road test drive sessions. The FIC in Pampanga in particular, will likewise feature a special drive track, which according to Ford will feature the capabilities and features of its models. 

On top of the test-drive opportunity, Ford is likewise offering exciting prizes to those who will make reservations for the Ranger, Territory, or Everest at the event. This includes a sizable cash discount of up to Php 100,000.

Other prizes include cash discounts of P50,000, P30,000, P20,000, and P10,000, as well as Next-Gen Vehicle Accessories Pack, ARB director’s chairs, air purifiers, dash cameras, P3,000 worth of fuel vouchers, and premium bags. Of note, these aforementioned prizes are only claimable upon purchase of a vehicle, within 60 days after the reservation was made. The exception is the vehicle accessory pack, which can only be claimed upon receipt of the vehicle within 60 days after the reservation. 

Various deals for the Ford Ranger are likewise available for prospective buyers. This is part of the brand’s Truck Month celebration, which has been extended until the end of October 2023. Customers looking to get Ford’s pickup truck can get as much as a Php 50,000 cash discount, an all-in low downpayment of Php 98,000, or a low monthly payment scheme of Php 11,111. 

If you’re from Laguna or Pampanga, and if you’re itching to get a Ford, then paying the FIC a visit might be a good idea.

Ford Ranger

The 2023 Ford Ranger is a 4x4 or 4x2 pickup truck. It is the latest version of the said model, and as of its launch in the Philippine market, it has a total of eight different variants.

These are the top-spec Wildtrak 4x4, Wildtrak 4x2, Sport 4x4, Sport 4x2, XLT 4x2, XLS 4x2 AT, XLS 4x2 MT, and the entry-level XL 4x4. As of 2023, prices for these trims ranges from php 1,213,000 to Php 1,910,000.

Under the hood of the new Ranger are two-different diesel mills. For the Wildtrak 4x4, it uses a 2.0-liter biturbo that can churn out 210 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. It is also the sole trim that uses a 10-speed automatic tranny.

The rest of the all-new Ranger then gets a 2.0-liter turbodiesel that can produce up to 170 horsepower and 405 Nm of torque. Only the XLS 4x2 and the XL 4x4 may come with a six-speed manual. The other non-biturbo trims then use a six-speed automatic.

Size-wise, the all-new 2023 Ranger is 5,370mm long, 1,918mm wide, and 1,884mm in height. They also offer a wheelbase length of 3,270mm, and a ground clearance of 235mm.

Locally, the 2023 Ford Ranger faces the Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi Strada, Isuzu D-Max, Mazda BT-50, etc.
