If you’ve been waiting for the local launch of the Ford Bronco for the Philippine market, then we’ve got great news for you. Via an official statement, Ford Philippines confirmed that it will be launching the Bronco and it will be available for reservation exclusively via the brand’s official website soon.

No exact launch dates were provided by the company just yet, but the brand says that the vehicle will be available nationwide via its authorized dealerships.
Besides the official confirmation from Ford itself, no other details for the Philippine-spec Bronco were provided. We’ve also yet to know which variants we’re getting, and how they’ll be priced here in the local market.
Interestingly, it looks like we’re getting the Bronco ahead of the Thai market–a rarity nowadays since Ford PH sources plenty of its locally available models from the Land of Smiles. Currently, the Ford Bronco is assembled at a plant in Wayne, Michigan, USA, and in Nanchang, China under Jianling Ford Auto. On this note, Ford PH also didn’t disclose where it is sourcing the SUV.

So what are we looking at here in terms of variants? Well, if we reference the US version, it has a total of nine trims, some of which are available with either a three-door or five-door body style. These trims are the Big Bend, Black Diamond, Heritage, Outer Banks, Badlands, Everglades, Wildtrak, Heritage, and Raptor.
For engines, the Bronco uses a 2.3-liter inline-4 turbocharged gasoline engine or a 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6. The Bronco Raptor meanwhile, uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6.
The most powerful among these is of course the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 on the Raptor as it can generate up to 418 horsepower and 595 Nm of torque. The beefiest non-Raptor versions are the ones with the 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 which can output up to 330 hp and 562 Nm of torque.

Available transmissions for the US-spec Bronco are a 10-speed automatic gearbox or a seven-speed manual transmission. All Bronco trims get a 4x4 system, while higher-spec trims also get a differential lock for better off-road performance.
Ford PH did say that it will share the Philippine-spec Bronco’s specs as we draw nearer to its official launch date, which has yet to be announced by the Blue Oval brand.
