The Chevrolet Tracker Philippines 2024 is a subcompact crossover SUV made by General Motors in China and Brazil. It replaces the Trax, in the Philippine market as well as the Chinese market. Despite being sold here, it is actually based on its larger brothers sold in other regions.
For the Philippines, there are two Tracker trims. The entry-level version is the Tracker LS 1.0T AT. It assumes a more subdued crossover look, but it does get some chrome trim pieces. The top-spec model meanwhile is the Tracker LS Redline Edition 1.0 AT. As per its name, it's sportier-looking than the entry-level trim. It features blacked-out parts with contrasting red pieces, and a set of black-colored wheels, among others.
Both variants of the Tracker sold locally use a 1.0-liter turbocharged inline-3 gasoline mill. This engine can make up to 116hp and 175Nm of torque. Power is then sent to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.
Dimensions-wise, the Tracker is 4,270 mm long, 1,791 mm wide, and 1,627 mm high, with a wheelbase rated at 2,570 mm. Locally, this American subcompact crossover is competing against the likes of the Geely Coolray, Hyundai Kona, and Honda HR-V.

Chevrolet Tracker Launch
Chevrolet Philippines brought in the Tracker in 2021 and it is poised to compete in the highly contested local crossover market. Being a subcompact, its primary rivals include the Geely Coolray, Kia Stonic, Hyundai Kona, MG ZS, and many other models.
At launch, two variants were brought in. These are the Tracker LS 1.0T AT, and the Tracker LT Redline Edition 1.0T AT.
Chevrolet Tracker Exterior
On the outside, the Tracker assumes an SUV-like stance. Both models are equipped with black plastic cladding, but the Redline Trim stands out with its black colored trim pieces with bits of red for contrast. For exterior equipment, the aforementioned Tracker trim also comes with LED headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, LED taillights, as well as front and rear fog lamps.
As for dimensions, both Tracker variants have a length of 4,270mm, a width of 1,791mm, and a height of 1,627mm. They also have a ground clearance of 161mm and a wheelbase length of 2,570mm.

As with most subcompact crossover models, the Chevy Tracker can comfortably seat up to five, and both trims come with leather seats. It's second row can also be folded to expand its trunk space. Technology and Safety Features
To entertain its occupants, the Tracker Philippines comes standard with an eight-inch MyLink touchscreen. The said headunit can connect to phones via Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and USB. For the top-spec variant, the touchscreen is then linked to a six-piece premium speaker system.
For safety, both Tracker variants are kitted out with four airbags, anti-lock braking with electronic brake-force distribution, traction control, stability control, hill-start assist, tire pressure monitoring, etc. Both variants also get parking sensors and a rear parking camera.
Chevrolet Tracker Platform & Chassis
Like most crossover models sold today, the Tracker uses a unibody chassis. It also comes with a front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout.
For its suspension system, the Chevy model uses a MacPherson strut for the front and a compound crank rear axle. Braking is then handled by ventilated front disc brakes and solid rear disc brakes. The model also uses a manual, hand-operated parking brake.

The Philippine-spec Tracker 2024 is powered by a 1.0-liter turbocharged inline-3 gasoline engine. At the maximum, this three-banger can churn out 116hp and 175Nm of torque. It then uses a six-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to its front wheels.
Available colors for the Chevrolet Tracker are Satin Steel Gray Metallic, Agate Red Metallic, Summit White, Black Meet Kettle Metallic, and Pow Zinga Metallic.
