Good news for Pinoy car enthusiasts! According to Chevrolet’s official distributor in the Philippines, Covenant Car Company Inc (TCCCI), the Chevrolet Cruze 2018 will hit our shores soon, maybe sometime this year.
The new Cruze was first launched in Detroit more than 2 years ago with a sleeker appearance and said to be lighter compared with its predecessor. Looking at the front, it is easy to notice its new front fascia with a nice sweeping design, sleek LED headlights along with a restyled dual-port front grille. Moving to the rear, it is equipped with a new set of taillights, a more sculptured trunk lid, and a more aggressive rear bumper.

As for the interior, the Chevrolet Cruze 2018 is designed with a dual-cockpit similar to that of the D-segment Malibu. Meanwhile, its more spacious cabin design allows back occupants to sit more comfortably with more knee room and legroom.

On the dashboard, the Cruze 2018 sedan also adopts numerous advanced features which are:
- 3-Spoke multifunction steering wheel
- New infotainment system called MyLink
- Apple CarPlay
- Android Auto
- Redesigned climate control system
- 4G LTE Wi-Fi navigation and connectivity

Speaking of the engine, the brand new Cruze is powered by a turbocharged Ecotec 1.4L four-cylinder engine which is available for either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Besides, the new generation can produce 240 Nm of torque and 155 PS.
There is no official information about which version of the Chevrolet Cruze 2018 will be offered for the local market. Hope that both sedan and hatchback version will be available for sale in the country.
