Feast your eyes on this beauty.

If you have kept up with recent automotive industry news, then you’re probably aware that some manufacturers are looking into hydrogen powertrains. The latest one to build a prototype was Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) with its A4810 Project, and boy is it a looker.

The A4810 supercar concept

Built together with France-based, performance car specialist Alpine, the A4810 is a supercar concept. That said, it comes with a very aggressive look that rides low to the ground. It also has plenty of eye-catching details.

What we’re talking about is the A4810’s bulging wheel arches, the “dome-like” cockpit, the subtle but curvy aero elements that were incorporated smoothly into the car’s shape, as well as its wing-like silhouette if viewed from the side.

The interior is also pretty much eye candy as well. It comes with red ambient lighting, an F1-inspired steering wheel, and a pair of unusual-looking seats. The interior even has this color scheme mirroring that of the French flag.

The car’s exterior look is then tied together with a set of OZ Racing wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires. The aforementioned brands also served as technical sponsors for the IED students who made the A4810 project.

In general, this concept car is the 28-student team’s vision of what a supercar in 2035 will look like. But while it looks exciting, we doubt that this will become an actual production vehicle anytime soon.

Moreover, Alpine nor IED didn’t provide anything specific about this concept car’s powertrain. But by being called a “supercar” though, we reckon that it is powerful. As a point of reference, the most powerful hydrogen car in recent memory can make 1,500 horsepower. That too however, was a one-off model.

For those unaware, Alpine, or Société des Automobiles Alpine SAS, makes some of the most exciting track-only race cars, high-performance racing prototypes, and high-performance road cars in the market today.

Of note, the brand is currently working on a replacement for the famed A110. It is doing this together with Lotus, and it will be launched in 2026. The A110’s replacement will then be using the Lotus E-Sport electric platform. As such, it will be an environmentally friendly sports car that’s somewhat similar to what the A4910 is aiming to be.
