Besides the cool new name, the Ranger Stormtrak is set apart from the other currently available variants thanks to several new features.

On the outside, it gets a unique graphic on its rear haunches and on the lower portions of its rear doors. These appear to be a series of black-colored diagonal lines. Further enhancing the look of this new Ranger trim are red colored accents on the lower front bumper, and on its 20-inch wheels. New Stormtrak badging can likewise be found on its tailgate, and on the lower portion of the front door.

Adding to the Ranger Stormtrak’s looks and cargo capabilities is Ford’s Sliding Rack System. This comes in the form of a sports bar, which can slide and be locked in different positions along the length of the truck’s cargo bed.

This structure basically extends the length of the Ranger’s roof, allowing one to load very long items like a surfboard, a canoe, or even construction materials like plywood sheets.

Specifically, it gets a new set of Miko suede leather seats with Race Red contrast stitching and Stormtrak embroidered logos. The Race Red contrast stitching can likewise be found on its console rails, gear shifter, and steering wheel.

Like the top-of-the-line Philippine-spec Wildtrak, the Ranger Stormtrak gets adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, auto high beams, and evasive steer assist, among other features.

Its interior likewise gets a 12-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an eight-inch digital gauge cluster, a dual-zone automatic air-conditioning system, ambient lighting, etc.

However, unlike our top-spec Ranger Wildtrak variants, the Stormtrak gets an active park assist. This means that this new pickup truck variant can be easier to park than the other trims.

As a side note, the other locally available Ford models that come with active park assist are the F-150, Everest, and Territory.
