Lower-spec trims join the next-gen Everest’s variant lineup.

Ford initially said that the next-gen Everest will be offered in three variants, which are: Sport, Titanium, and Platinum. However, it seems that the blue oval brand has other plans as it now shows additional trim levels for the 2022 Ford Everest.

Ford didn’t mention anything about the lower-spec variants of the all-new Everest during its global launch. But this time around, it’s safe to say the 2022 Ford Everest will also be offered in Ambiente and Trend trims.

The entry-level Ford Everest Ambiente is fitted with toned-down design elements as seen on the horizontal bar on the grille. Instead of having a shiny chrome accent, the Everest Ambiente’s horizontal bar comes in silver. The grille surround also doesn’t come in chrome but instead has a black accent. Moreover, the Everest Ambiente has a body-color accent on the bumper.

The Everest Ambiente comes with a different set of wheels

Another design difference you can spot is the Everest Ambiente’s wheels that come in 17-inches as compared to the Sport’s and Titanium’s 20-inch alloys. Inside it has the same dashboard layout, and is also equipped with a massive infotainment touchscreen. However, the Ambiente features a different seat accent pattern.

Meanwhile, the 2022 Ford Everest Trend resembles the Titanium variant. It has a similar front-end design that features chrome accents.

The distinct difference between the Trend and the Titanium can be seen on the wheels. The Everest Trend has a set of 18-inch alloy wheels that come with a different design as well. The interior, on the other hand, resembles much as what’s inside the Titanium variant. At the global launch, photos of the Titanium trim suggest that it has a sunroof, a feature that’s not present in the lower Trend variant.

Ford explained that the 2022 Everest will vary per market. This means that the next-gen Everest might come with different variant options once it makes its debut in the Philippine market. But, the probability of seeing the Ambiente and the Trend Everest variants in the local market is highly likely. The reason for that is it will help the next-gen Ford Everest to be priced more competitively as it goes up against segment rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Montero Sport, among others.
