In detail, the Forte 2019 is designed with a long hood and short deck, creating an impressive fastback-like shape for the car. In addition, the automaker has moved the cowl point 5 inch backwards in order to further highlight the sporty appearance of the C-segment sedan.
Other noticeable refinements up front include Kia’s signature tiger nose grille, muscular black lower valance, Stinger-style headlights, four-point LED daytime running lights and bumper-mounted turn signal indicators. There is also a trim piece at the rear connecting the tail lamps.

The overall dimension of the all-new Kia Forte 2019 is also extended, resulting to the increase in cabin space, especially for leg- and head-room. In particular, for the 2019 model year, the sedan measures 4,640 mm x 1,440 mm x 1,798 mm (L x H x D). Dominating the interior is the horizontal theme with clean lines and minimal buttons positioned below the 8-inch touchscreen.

Aimed to get the highest ratings from IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) and NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), the new Forte comes loaded with full LED head lamps and a number of enhanced safety features such as 54% advanced high-strength steel content and additional hot-stamped components.
At the heart of the Forte 2019 is a 2nd-gen 2.0L Nu engine which is said to be able to produce 147 hp and 180 Nm, mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or Kia’s new Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). When it comes to fuel efficiency, the next-gen sedan is claimed to run 14.9 km/L, meaning an average of 35 mpg in mixed traffic conditions, which is an improvement of 1.3km/L compared to the outgoing model.
