XC60 – the all-new compact SUV of Volvo has been launched at 2017 NYIAS.
Considered as one of the most important models for Volvo in the US, not only does the new XC60 adopt Volvo’s new corporate styling elements (the Scalable Product Architecture), it also gains the Volvo’s latest design language. This makes it become the first 60-series model of the Swedish car manufacturer to possess these new features.

Concerning the power system, the turbocharged T5 with 250hp and the turbocharged-and-supercharged T6 with 315hp will be available in US market. Besides, the 400hp T8 Twin Engine Plug-In Hybrid version will be added later.
“The XC60 is an SUV not designed to look down on others but to drive. The exterior has an athletic sculpture with a subtle, timeless quality. The interior is a masterful composition of well-resolved architecture, beautiful materials and the very latest technology - all perfectly blended together”, stated Mr. Thomas Ingenlath, Senior Vice President, Design at Volvo.

The new Volvo SUV is also furnished with Pilot Assist, a semi-autonomous driver assistance system, which can “takes care of steering, acceleration and braking on well-marked roads up to 80 mph.” Also available is the typical portrait-style Sensus infotainment system with a nine-inch touchscreen display.

According to Mr. Lex Kerssemakers, Senior Vice President of the Americas and President and CEO of Volvo Car USA, the 2018 Volvo CX60 will contribute “a new and more athletic attitude” to the design language of 90-series models.
