Emergency Autonomous Brake

Love it or hate how this feature has driven car prices up; it is still worth it when considering crashing into cars and barriers. Most cars don’t have it; except for premium or luxury cars for now. An autonomous function that kicks in when the driver fails to use the brake.

Automatic Cylinder deactivation

Here’s another premium car feature that shuts down cylinders in the engine when they aren’t needed. This saves fuel and activates the engine cylinder when needed! Often it is found in SUVs, premium select cars, and luxury cars that give them better fuel efficiency.

Cars that are equipped with this; will not start without the key fob RFID code when starting the car. The ECU shuts the down ignition when the car is forcibly entered, and it happens automatically.

For starters; these features are very dangerous because that make the driver lazy and lessen alertness when driving. This often leads to volatile and fatal accidents; just because it lulled the driver’s attention!

Cars with a self-driving function; that use radar, lidar, sonar, and other systems to drive itself without any assistance are the future. Though good at first glance; but this is not safe. It can be fatal for the drivers. Drivers should be alert and never rely on any auto-drive systems when on the road.

In practice both are good, but the remote start is redundant and can be dangerous when activated accidentally. Same with a one-touch start and stop function that is dangerous when left running inside a closed garage.

Most CVT engines use this to give the drivers a feel that is just like a manual transmission; so they can feel the engine shifting. Add simulated gear shock that is not accurate and just not waste of time; to bother with.

Cruise Control and Adaptive Cruise Control

This is the most debatable of these options because of the convenience that is given to drivers with cars that have it installed. The adaptive cruise control is better, but just like the cruise control, this makes the driverless alert and prone to a deadly error.
