1. What is Easytrip Balance?

Easytrip is an electronic tollway collection system managed by the Metro Pacific Tollway Company. The expressways in the country that use Easytrip as their collection system include the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Manila-Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX), and Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX).

The tollway collection system requires you to avail of its Easytrip RFID for you to drive through its toll roads. An Easytrip RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) is a sticker attached to a vehicle that carries information as to how much is the Easytrip balance of a car.

Installing an Easytrip RFID on your car is very important especially if you use NLEX roads on a daily basis as the country is transitioning to cashless transactions on all toll roads. This means that you cannot drive through any Easytrip toll roads without its RFID sticker.

There are numerous stations in NLEX, CAVITEX, C5 Link, and CALAX that you can visit to install an Easytrip RFID. The opening hours of the stations are mostly from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday.

If you don’t have time to go out and avail of an Easytrip RFID sticker in its stations, you can get one online. Both Shopee and Lazada offer a stick-it-yourself Easytrip RFID for Php 500. The initial amount paid is also added to the balance.

On the other hand, tolls roads such as the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), Metro Manila Skyway System (Skyway), NAIA Expressway (NAIAX), Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR Tollway), Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX), and Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX) use Autosweep RFID.

The Autosweep tollway collection system is managed by San Miguel Corporation (SMC). With the country’s transition to cashless transactions in all toll roads, it is possible to use Easytrip RFID on Autosweep toll roads, and vice versa.
