Volkswagen Philippines intends to offer its new passenger car later this month: the 2017 Jetta.
After being awarded “The Best-selling European car brand” last year, the Swedish carmaker is aiming at strengthening its position in the Filipino market.
With its 6 generations all over the world, Volkswagen has recently added two trim levels to the Jetta: the Business Edition+ and Business Edition that will join the current line-up of the Highline and Comfortline variants.
About the styling, this compact sedan has a distinctive appearance with a typical moon roof, new front flog lights and a set of 17-inch Lancaster alloy wheels. Apart from that, the Business Edition and Business Edition+ up are also equipped with HID headlights with adaptive front lighting and LED daytime running lights.

Black interior will be offered for all Jettas. Besides, all models will feature a passive keyless entry system with push-button start/stop, a 5.8-inch touchscreen color display infotainment system together with Bluetooth, and leather seats.

Moreover, some small details such as rain-sensing wipers, dual zone climate control, 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat, and an 8-speaker Fender sound system are also available in the 2017 Jetta (except for the Comfortline trim level).
Exceptionally, the Business Edition+ is furnished with some safety features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Alert with Lane Assist, and Front Braking Assist with Forward Collision Warning.

Under the hood, the 2017 Jetta gets a 2.0-liter TDI engine, producing 150 hp (from 3,500 to 4,200 rpm) and 340 Nm of torque (from 1,750 to 3,000 rpm), paired with a 6-speed dual clutch automatic (DSG).

The starting price of the Comfortline, Highline, Business Edition, and Business Edition+ goes respectively from P 1,100,000, P 1,200,000, P 1,250,000 and P 1,300,000.
Available colors for all variants are Black, Platinum Gray, Toffee Brown, Cardinal Red Metallic, Reflex Silver, Blue Silk, Pure White, and Moon Rock Silver. However, beige interior is not available for the Comfortline variant.
