After previewing it back in December 2023, the MG One crossover officially launched for the Philippine market with two variants, the entry-level STD and the top-spec Lux.
2024 MG One
With an introductory starting price of Php 1,223,888, the MG One is positioned to be a relatively affordable crossover that balances style, smart technologies, and performance.
So what can buyers of the MG One expect from this all-new model?
Exterior
On the outside, the 2024 MG One assumes a sleek but sporty look that’s representative of the brand’s new global design direction.
Up front, it sports an expansive grille which is capped at the bottom by a hexagonal air vent. It likewise features a pair of sharp-looking LED headlamp clusters with integrated LED daytime running lamps and turn signals. Above those is a sculpted hood that makes the vehicle look a bit muscular.

Over towards the side, the all-new crossover features black window pillars with some smattering of chrome on the top window line. Black plastic claddings are present on the wheel arches, but the ones on the lower side portion feature a decorative chrome strip.
The rear of this all-new MG crossover meanwhile, gets a more eye-catching look thanks to its roof-mounted spoiler, pointy LED taillights, and curvacious tailgate. Below the tailgate is a black-colored rear bumper.

Other exterior features available on the top-spec MG One include power-folding side mirrors, panoramic sunroof, and roof rails.
For the STD, it rides on a set of 18-inch alloy wheels. The top-spec Lux meanwhile, gets a larger 19-inch set of wheels.
Size-wise, the MG One is 4,581mm long, 1,871mm wide, and 1,617mm in height. Its wheelbase spans 2,670mm, and it has a curb weight of 1,562 kg.
From the rear
The all-new model has six color options. There’s Fizzy Orange, Brighton Blue, Extreme Speed Red, Moon White, Iron Oxide, and Meteorite Black. A two-tone black-colored roof option is only available for the top-spec Lux.
Interior
Step inside the MG One and you’ll find a driver-centric cockpit and enough space for a total of five occupants.
The front cabin of this crossover gets an eye-catching dashboard that features a combination of matte silver trims and shiny black plastics. This houses the floating-type digital central touchscreen and digital driver’s display which are seamlessly linked together and tilted to face the driver. The driver also gets a tilt and telescopic steering column, a push-to-start button, and cruise control.

Likewise present on the front cabin is a clean-looking strip holding the automatic air-conditioning system’s controls. The center console houses an interesting gearshift lever, while farther back between the front seats is a leather-wrapped center armrest.
For the top-spec Lux, it features a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. The STD meanwhile gets a six-way manual adjust driver’s seat. Both trims get a four-way manual adjust front passenger seat.

Over to the rear cabin, there are storage pockets on the front seatbacks and rear air-conditioning vents, and the rear seats themselves have a 60:40 split-folding functionality. The trunk section also gets a dedicated lamp, a luggage tray, and a retractable cargo cover.
According to MG Philippines, this all-new crossover has a default cargo space of 336 liters. With the rear seats folded down, it has up to 1,120 liters of cargo space.
Other interior features found aboard the 2024 MG One are leather for all seats, ambient lighting, and dual front cup holders, among others.

Tech & Safety
Handling onboard entertainment for the MG One is a 12.3-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This is linked to four or six speakers, depending on the variant.
Keeping devices on this MG crossover is done via a wireless charging pad (Lux variant) or through USB ports. The driver meanwhile, is provided with a seven-inch digital gauge cluster.

For safety, the MG One gets a total of four airbags for the STD and six for the Lux. Standard on both trims are anti-lock braking with electronic brake-force distribution, stability control, cornering brake control, hill hold control, auto hold, hill descent control, an engine immobilizer, a reverse camera (STD) or a 360-degree view camera (Lux), and many others.
On top of those, the MG One Lux features a lane departure warning system, remote keyless entry with remote engine starting, and smart key passive entry.
Engine
Under the hood of the 2024 MG One is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that can produce up to 168 horsepower and 275 Nm of torque. Power is sent to its front wheels via a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

For suspensions, this MG model uses a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear suspension. Braking is handled by discs for all four wheels, as well as an electronic parking brake.
Price
The MG One STD is priced at Php 1,298,888, while the top-spec MG One Lux is priced at Php 1,458,888. As of the moment though, it is offered with an introductory price of Php 1,223,888 for the STD, and Php 1,390,888 for the Lux.
