Mazda Philippines announced that the CX-60 has officially arrived in the local lineup. The CX-60 is the car brand’s latest two-row midsize crossover crafted with the famed Kodo design language. It is made available in two hybrid variants – one with a gasoline mill and the other with a diesel engine.

Mazda Philippines president and CEO Stevan Tan said that the CX-60 offers unmatched distinction in every way.
“The Mazda CX-60 is more than an exciting new SUV; it’s the evolution of Mazda Premium – a high-quality concentration of design, driving dynamics, technology, and comfort. It offers unmatched distinction in every way,” said Tan.
Exterior
The Mazda CX-60 is equipped with sweeping adaptive LED headlamps, 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and a hands-free power tailgate. Not a lot of character lines were integrated to reveal “beautifully crafted panels”, providing a calm and composed SUV styling.

Considering the CX-60 moniker, the new model slots in between the CX-5 and CX-8 in terms of size. It spans 4,740mm in length, 1,890mm in width, and 1,670mm in height, with a wheelbase rated at 2,870mm.
Included in the exterior paint options are Rhodium White Premium (new), Soul Red Crystal, and Machine Gray, Platinum Quartz, Sonic Silver, Deep Crystal Blue, and Jet Black.
Interior
Inside, the two variants offer different styling. The gasoline variant features aluminum panels and silver accents, black Nappa leather seats, and black leather interior upholstery. The diesel variant, on the other hand, gets graphite panels and gunmetal accents, and tan Nappa leather seats with quilted suede inserts.

As standard, the vehicle has 10-way power front seat adjustment, front seat ventilation, electric steering wheel adjustment, a wireless charger, ambient lighting, and dual-zone climate control. Further enhancing the interior features is the Driver Personalization System, which automatically adjusts more than 250 stored settings depending on the preference of the driver at the helm.
Tech & Safety
There are three displays inside the new CX-60 – a 12.3-inch fully digital driver’s instrument panel, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, and a 10.4-inch heads-up display. The head unit comes with the latest Mazda Connect Infotainment System, which supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, the infotainment system is routed to a 12-speaker Bose sound system.

In the safety department, the vehicle introduces new technologies such as the See-Through view built from the brand’s current 360-degree view monitor. It is also equipped with hill descent control and blind spot monitoring with vehicle exit warning. Other safety techs under the i-Activsense safety suite include Mazda Radar Cruise Control, Rear Smart Brake Support, and Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, among others.
Engine
Under the hood, the plug-in hybrid powertrain launched in other markets didn’t make the PH-spec model. Instead, Mazda Philippines offers a 3.3-liter inline-6 hybrid engine, which is available in either gasoline or diesel form.
The crossover boasts hybrid engines with an AWD system
The 3.3-liter inline-6 HEV e-Skyactiv-G (gasoline) engine is capable of generating 280 horsepower and 450 Nm torque while the 3.3-liter inline-6 HEV e-Skyactive-D (diesel) makes 251 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque. Both engines send power to all four wheels via a newly-developed Skyactiv-Drive 8-speed transmission.
