According to latest car news, Hyundai Motor India has officially launched the four-wheel drive version of its well-known Tucson. This 4WD system comes exclusively in the top-spec Hyundai Tucson 2.0 Diesel AT GLS at a price tag of Rs 25.19 lakh (P1,970,255). Now, bookings for the all-new Hyundai Tucson 4WD 2017 have been opened across India dealerships.

“Introduction of 4WD is to bring to the customer the next level of cutting edge technology in Dynamic Styling, Athletic Performance, Advanced Safety and Smart Comfort as product innovation towards competitive advantage in fast growing SUV market while also enhancing the overall price value equation through value engineering and passing the price benefit to customer,” said Y K Koo - Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motor India.

The new drive configuration, in particular, features the Active On–Demand 4WD with 50/50 front and rear 4WD Lock mode triggered by the driver to provide torque from the front to the rear wheels. Moreover, the system also comes with Advanced Traction Cornering Control (ATCC) in charge of feeding power to the four wheels with the most traction.

The Hyundai Tucson 4WD 2017 is still powered by the 2.0L CRDi diesel engine pushing out 185 hp at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of peak torque between 1,750 – 2,750 rpm, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Besides, exterior and interior design receive no changes.
