Maxus D60 2024

Chinese vehicle importer Maxus Philippines is one of the car brands in the local market that has been continuously expanding its model lineup. After launching the G50 MPV, Maxus PH is setting its sights on entering the midsize SUV segment with the D60 launched in February 2021. Measuring 4,720mm long, 1,860mm high, and 1,736mm high on a 2,760mm wheelbase, the Maxus D60 is offered in Elite and Pro trim levels that can seat five and seven occupants, respectively. Under the hood, the Maxus D60 shares the same 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine that delivers 167 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, with power managed by a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The Maxus D60 price in the Philippines is between Php 1,240,000 and Php 1,338,000. Lowest monthly amortization starts at Php 13,837 over a period of 60 months with a downpayment of 50 percent. Rivals in its segment include the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Chevrolet Trailblazer, and Geely Azkarra.

Maxus D60 Launch

The Maxus D60 is a vehicle that took design cues from the Tarantula Electric SUV Concept, which SAIC Maxus previewed at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show. The Philippine-spec Maxus D60 is offered with a seven-seater or five-seater configuration. The new Maxus D60 competes with segment rivals such as the Honda CR-V, Chery Tiggo 8, and Geely Okavango, among others.

Maxus D60 Exterior

The exterior of the Maxus D60 is aggressive, bold, and striking. The front end is fitted with a massive grille that’s integrated with chrome trims. One of the things that you’ll also notice on the D60 is its muscular bumper. Turning to the side, the D60’s muscular appeal continues to be seen through its wide wheel arches as well as sharp character lines. On the other hand, the rear comes with sleek design cues as seen on the D60’s taillights and spoiler. Moreover, the D60’s bold look is finished off with a large bumper.

Similar to the Honda CR-V, the Maxus D60 2024 comes in either five- or seven-seater variants, offering customers added flexibility when deciding between passenger or cargo space. However, the D60 is only available with a gasoline powertrain, comprising a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It also comes only as a front-wheel-drive variant, compared to the CR-V and Geely Azkarra. For safety, the D60 brings the usual complement of features such as front and side airbags, stability control, anti-lock brakes, and electronic parking brakes. However, it does not have driver-assist features unlike the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Chevrolet Trailblazer, and Geely Azkarra.
