The range-topping XC60 T8 is now more powerful than a Porsche Macan and Audi Q5.
After having joined hands to improve the on-sale V60, XC90, S90 and V90 facelift versions, Volvo performance division Polestar continues to introduce its latest tuning packs for the all-new Volvo XC60 for sale. And, the result may be much more than you’ve expected.

Powered by a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, the top-of-the-line XC60 T8 Twin Engine can produce 421 hp, even more than Audi's SQ5 (348 hp) or Porsche's Macan Turbo (394 hp) performance SUVs. It seems that this increase is modest compared to the standard XC60 T8 which knocks out 407 hp. Nevertheless, it’s enough to make the new Polestar XC60 T8 the most powerful road-going Volvo ever. In spite of the power upgrade, the plug-in hybrid engine is unchanged with a decent fuel consumption of 2.1L/100 km and an all-electric driving range of up to 45 km.

To optimize this road car, Polestar has decided to focus on “five key areas of the powertrain” with the help of Polestar’s racing team Cyan Racing. Particularly, the gearbox currently shifts faster and shift points have been recalibrated for the top speed of gearchanges. Moreover, the ability to hold onto gears during sporty driving is also improved.
