Will the Suzuki Ertiga come with a diesel version? This is one of the most common questions about this favorite MPV.

Indian Autos Blog revealed that the second-gen Ertiga will most definitely receive a diesel version. At present, it is still not sure whether the Philippine market will get a chance to welcome the diesel version of the Suzuki Ertiga or not. Time will tell. Now just take a look at some numbers.

The forthcoming diesel Ertiga will be powered by a 1.5L engine which is produced by Suzuki. For the new engine’s output, it is capable of doling out 93 hp and 225 Nm of torque while the gas unit can produce 101 hp and 138 Nm of torque.

According to Mr. Keiichi Suzuki - Suzuki Philippines General Manager for Automobiles, the carmaker is still considering if it needs to bring a diesel-powered Suzuki Ertiga to the Philippines or not because other markets have already reduced using diesels.

For the Philippine market, it is offered in three variants that all use a 1.5-liter K15B inline-4 engine capable of making up to 103 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque. Available transmission options for this model include a four-speed automatic and a five-speed manual transmission. Moving to the dimensions, the Suzuki Ertiga has a length of 4,395 mm, a width of 1,735 mm, and a height of 1,690 mm. This Japanese MPV is competing in the local market against the likes of the Toyota Avanza, Mitsubishi Xpander, and Maxus G50.
