Most recently a Ford EcoSport SE 4WD 2018 has been spotted being tested on near Pondicherry, India. The surprise is the model is not for its birth land. It is an export-spec product instead.
The photo of the EcoSport SE 4WD below is supposed to be exported to the USA. Being a mid-level, the SE grade is between the top-end Titanium and SES and the entry-level S grades. The 4WD badge indicates its engine will be a 2L Ti-VCT I4 unit which doles out 202 Nm at 4,500 rpm and 166 HP at 6,500 rpm. Also standard on the SE grade are 4WD alongside a six-speed SelectShift automatic gearbox, running on 16-inch alloy wheels.

As compared to the Indian-spec Ford EcoSport, the American peer departs from the spare wheel. Details of the specifications show that the US-spec Ford EcoSport 4WD body will be laid on a 161.3-inch wheelbase, 99 mm longer than the Indian counterpart.
With two powertrain options (2L Ti-VCT I4 and 1L EcoBoost petrol), the export-spec Ford EcoSport offers 4 grades for the American market which are Titanium, SES, SR, and S while the six-speed automatic gearbox comes standard. The base S grade asks for $19,995(~1,155,000). The highest price offered belongs to the Ford EcoSport SES asking for $26,880(~1,552,000).

Speaking of the 1L EcoBoost for the Ford EcoSport S in the Indian market, it is channeled to a six-speed manual gearbox. Aside from it, a five-speed manual gearbox works in conjunction with 1 the 1.5L diesel and petrol units. Plus, a 1.5L petrol can be had with a six-speed automatic transmission as well. The Indian market, unfortunately, doesn’t have the Ford EcoSport equipped with 4WD which is priced at INR 7,82,200 (equivalent to P608,400).
