Following the Philippine launch of the all-new Malibu 2018 at MIAS 2018, the American automaker keeps surprising their customers by disclosing the redesigned Chevrolet Malibu 2019 for the US market. The US-market 2019 model year features a sportier look, new technologies with bolder design and excellent equipment.

For starters, the redesigned D-segment sedan features a sleeker front fascia with fresh LED daytime running lamps/fog lamps, a sporty dual-port design for grille and glossier and stronger LED headlamps.
Moving to the rear, it gets a more stylish look with the width’s changes which was completed by adding a fresh rear valence to widen the exhaust pipes further and using newly-designed tail lamps to make the dual-element design more outstanding.

Besides, the updated Chevrolet Malibu 2019 also receives series of standard technologies including fresh heated rear seats, 8’’ driver information center display, all-new Infotainment 3 touchscreen display and reverse camera. The Infotainment 3 system is provided with quicker Bluetooth connectivity, the inclusion of Apple CarPlay, standard Android Auto and 4G LTE wi-fi, greater graphics and new apps.
Speaking of the car engine, it is offered two options with two turbocharged powertrains - a 1.6L and the stronger 2.0L. The former is capable of cranking out 158 hp and 250 Nm of torque, works in a conjunction with a 6-speed automatic while the latter produces 246 hp and 350 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Additionally, the Malibu 2019 is also available with a sportier-looking version - the RS. It comes different from standard versions with blacked-out bow-tie emblems and grille, distinctive 18’’ alloy wheels and a trunk-mounted spoiler. Moreover, the RS is also adorned with black cloth seats, gear selector and a leather-covered steering wheel.
According to the latest car news, the Chevrolet Malibu 2019 will hit the US market at the end of 2018. As for our local market, the Malibu 2018 model year only comes available with one variant, namely the Chevrolet Malibu LTZ 2018 of which price range is said to start at P2,131,888.
