Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is set to innovate the mobility sector once again as Toyota Mobility Solutions Philippines Corporation (TMSPH) launched a demonstration of its rolling advertisement project.
Toyota is studying how effective wrap advertising is compared to fixed locations
Led by TMSPH, the project aims to measure the effectiveness of fleet car wrap advertising. TMSPH will be joined by Flare Inc. (Flare), a company that develops and operates mobility-related businesses such as wrap advertising, Toyota Financial Services Philippines Corporation (TFSPH), and Toyota Daihatsu Engineering & Manufacturing Co., Ltd (TDEM).
As part of the project, TMSPH will deploy ten fleet vehicles to drive around Metro Manila, Laguna, and other bordering cities for six months. The company will serve as an advertiser by promoting the Japanese automaker’s Kinto One car leasing program.
Since the advertisements are on the move, TMSPH can collect a broad range of data and knowledge relating to advertisement effectiveness, as opposed to mounting ads on fixed locations such as billboards. Moreover, the company can measure the effectiveness of the roving ads by using and checking GPS-based vehicle position information sent from drivers’ smartphones and real-time traffic data.
The automaker is looking to expand its business portfolio
The goal is to provide clients with advertising vehicles in specific areas during a sale. It also aims to create a variety of new mobility businesses, including flexible advertising campaigns. Initiatives like this are one of the reasons why TMP remains the leading car company in the country.
“We are always excited to try new technologies, and Flare has given us the opportunity to do so. We are looking forward to working closely with Flare in testing their system and application to improve our internal marketing studies,” said TMSPH President Cristina Arevalo.
TMSPH, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TMP, was launched just last month. It aims to enrich the lives of Filipinos by reshaping the way we see mobility. Other services offered by the company are on-demand shuttle booking, car sharing or rental, logistics matching service, and fleet management service.
