Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP), through Toyota Financial Services Philippines (TFSPH), announced the launching of the myToyota Wallet app’s e-money feature. The new component of the brand’s app allows customers to cash in using their Bank of Philippines Islands (BPI) deposit account.
Toyota introduces the e-money feature
To get started, customers must download the myToyota Wallet app from Google Play or App Store. Once that is completed, the next step is to register and apply for an upgraded account by submitting a government-issued ID and a selfie.
In comparison to a basic account, an upgraded account increases the transaction limit from Php 100,000 per year to Php 1.2 million (or Php 100,000 per month).
The new feature is available for BPI users
To load up the e-wallet, users simply have to click on “cash-in” on the myToyota Wallet app. The next step is to select the cash-in method and enter the desired amount through a BPI savings account. For added security, the app will ask users to enter their six-digit one-time pin (OTP), which will be sent to their registered phone numbers.
The e-money feature can be used for any Toyota transaction such as preventive maintenance service (PMS) and vehicle repair. Toyota owners who want to avail of parts, accessories, and insurance can also use the new feature for a more convenient payment method. It is available at any Toyota dealership nationwide.
A more convenient way to pay for Toyota transactions
To go with the new feature, TMP is offering a launch offer where registered customers can get up to Php 300 or a two percent rebate of the transaction price. Of note, the promo is running until the end of October only.
The new e-money feature is just one of the many programs TSFPH rolled out to aid customers financially. Earlier this month, the company partnered with Lalamove to offer affordable pricing schemes on the Lite Ace. With these deals, individuals who are looking for their next business road partner could get the Lite Ace through a more flexible payment scheme.
