2020 was an uphill battle, but Toyota did it once again.

Despite the hardships that the economy has been facing lately, Toyota Motor Philippines has managed to achieve its 19th consecutive triple crown. To be specific, the brand takes the top spot in overall sales for 2020, the number one spot in passenger car sales, and the top spot in commercial vehicle sales.

Apart from that, Toyota also stands as the number one brand in a total of nine market segments. In 2020, Toyota Motor Philippines managed to sell a total of 244,617 units. A 40.4 percent drop in comparison to 2019.

Of note, Toyota Philippines sold 25,290 Vios units in 2020

Despite that, Toyota still managed to get a 41.3 percent overall market share in the Philippines. During the ceremony, TMP President Mr. Okamoto said that:

We have proven ourselves that despite any challenge mankind can experience, we can successfully get through it as one team.  The next step is how we can accelerate forward and lead the market towards full recovery.  Let us remain adaptive and continue to stay ahead to provide mobility and produce happiness for all.

Of course, Toyota also recognizes several of its dealerships that toiled to achieve this feat. Of note, the Toyota president himself, gave awards to several of these establishments.

For dealerships that achieved consistent excellence in customer service, these were awarded the President’s CS Cup of Excellence. Dealerships that received this award include Toyota Marilao, and Toyota Nueva Ecija.
