Following the arrival of the Suzuki S-Presso with an automatic transmission last month, the two-pedal hatchback will be available for a test drive at this year’s Auto Focus Test Drive Festival.
The Suzuki S-Presso is now available with an automatic gearbox
Eventgoers can expect a new and more convenient driving experience with the new Suzuki S-Presso AGS (Automated Gear Shift) considering that the model only came with a manual gearbox back in 2020.
What sets the AGS technology from a conventional automatic torque converter is that it is built like a manual gearbox. The technology uses an Intelligent Shift Control Actuator to operate the shift and clutch automatically, eliminating the need for a third clutch pedal.
According to the Japanese automaker, the AGS promises to bring improved fuel efficiency. This means that the new hatchback is not only more efficient but is also said to be more convenient to drive.
Another new feature in the Suzuki S-Presso that improves fuel efficiency is the new 1.0-liter K10C gasoline engine, available in both the manual and AGS variants. It is capable of generating 67 horsepower and 90 Nm of torque. Suzuki also added a Variable Valve Timing (VVT) system and an Engine Automatic Start Stop (EASS) technology.
Drive the hatchback using two pedals only at the 2023 Auto Focus Test Drive Festival
The 2023 Suzuki S-Presso AGS is offered with a Php 660,000 price tag, which is Php 40,000 more than the base GL variant with a 5-speed manual transmission. Suzuki Philippines, Inc. (SPH) will also offer special promos and prizes at its Auto Focus Test Drive Festival booth.
Take note that the 2023 Auto Focus Test Drive Festival will be running from May 4 to 7, 2023 at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds. The gates are open from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Admission is free and is open to the public.
Other automakers that will set up a booth at the test drive festival include Ford, GAC Motor, Great Wall Motor (GWM), Honda, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota, and WM Motor.

The Suzuki S-Presso 2023 is a five-seater city car. In the Philippines, it has two available trims. These are the S-Presso GL 1.0 MT and the GL 1.0 AGS. The GL MT is priced at Php 620,000, while the AGS version retails at 660,000.
Size-wise, the S-Presso 2023 has a length of 3,565mm, a width of 1,529mm, and a height of 1,565mm. It also has a ground clearance of 180mm.
Locally, the S-Presso competes against the likes of the Toyota Wigo, Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback, Honda Brio, among others.
