A new currently-built Hyundai SUV, which will sit above the Santa Fe, has been spotted testing so far. Except for official information, the new car in the spy shots seems to offer up to 8 seats, one more than the Santa Fe which is available in five or seven-seat configurations.

As shown in the photos, the new unnamed 8-seat Hyundai SUV boasts a pretty enormous size and is inspired by current hot models like the Kona and Santa Fe. Although the vehicle is well camouflaged, slim headlights are still spotted flanking an alleged trapezoidal-patterned grille with wavy-styled mesh.

The rear is also heavily disguised with fake body panels and wraps, making it hard to predict the real shape of the rear. Outwardly, it looks quite spacious to well serve passengers at the rear and provide a vast cargo space.
Under the hood, the new 8-seater is expected to be powered by a turbocharged petrol mill in order to load all that ponderosity.

Latest car news from the Korean car manufacturer also suggests that an all-new full-size SUV bigger than most of SUVs in the market will be launched in the US market. At launch, it can be offered with 7 or 8 seats and will take the fight to the Subaru Ascent which measures a 2,890 mm wheelbase.
