Several days ago, the Nissan Livina was caught when running on Indonesian roads with slight camouflage. Now all predictions before have finally got the answer. Nissan has officially announced the release date of the Nissan Livina 2020.
Accordingly, the all-new Nissan Livina will be launched tomorrow - February 19th. The teaser photo shows that the car comes adorned with high-mounted LED daytime running lamps. As mentioned in the previous post, the forthcoming Livina is considered as a badge-engineered variant of the heated-up Mitsubishi Xpander, meaning it is one of the Mitsubishi-Renault-Nissan Alliance’s products. Even though the Livina still carries Nissan-featured styling, especially on the front fascia including the V-Motion grille.

Speaking of other parts on the body, the Nissan Livina 2020 is mostly similar to the Xpander, excepting for different wheels. It is also expected to be powered by a 1.5L mill produced by Mitsubishi but it may be equipped with a Nissan powertrain, who knows!

The all-new Nissan Livina 2024 is a front-wheel-drive, seven-seater MPV. In the local market, it has a total of four different variants with a price ranging from Php 1,069,000 to Php 1,314,000.
Under the hood of this Nissan MPV is a 1.5-liter inline-4 gasoline engine. It has the same engine that is currently used in the Mitsubishi Xpander, and it also has an output of 103 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. Depending on the trim, it either gets a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic gearbox.
When it comes to dimensions, The Livina is 4,510mm long, 1,750mm wide, and 1,700 to 1,665mm in height. Its wheelbase then spans 2,775mm.
Competing against the Nissan Livina in the local market are the Mitsubishi Xpander and Xpander Cross, Suzuki Ertiga and XL7, Toyota Rush, Toyota Avanza, among others.
Nissan Livina Launch
The 2024 Nissan Livina was launched in the Philippine market in September 2022. Its initial global launch in Indonesia however, took place way back in 2019. Of note, the Livina is a second-gen model and it shares a platform with the Mitsubishi Xpander. The first-gen Livina in turn, uses a different Nissan B Platform.
Nissan Livina Exterior
The exterior of the Nissan Livina is similar-looking to its Xpander brother. Its front fascia does carry its own style.
For equipment, it comes with a pair of halogen headlamps. It also has LED daytime running lamps and LED combination rear headlamps. Higher-spec models also come standard with power-folding and power-adjustable side mirrors.
Completing the look of the Livina is a 16-inch set of alloy wheels or a 15-inch set of alloys or steelies depending on the trim.
Nissan Livina Interior
Just like the majority of MPV models in the Philippines, the 2024 Livina can seat a total of seven occupants. It also provides its driver with a push-to-start button, a six-way manual adjustable seat, a color LCD display gauge cluster, and a leather-wrapped tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel.
Everyone inside is then kept comfortable with a dial-type manual air-conditioning system. Its second row also comes with a 60:40 split, fold, and tumbling seats. Its third-row turn comes with a 50:50 split-folding rear seat.
Depending on the trim, the Livina’s seats are then wrapped in leather, brow fabric, or beige fabric.
Technology & Safety Features
Handling the entertainment needs of the Philippines Livina’s occupants is a seven-inch touchscreen. Connectivity options for this headunit include Phonelink/Bluetooth, USB, or auxiliary jack. One variant also gets a 2-DIN headunit which has the same connectivity options as the touchscreen except for the Phonelink function.
The higher-spec variants then come with a 6-piece speaker set. Other variants get a total of 4 speakers or 2 speakers.
For safety, Livina’s higher-spec models have hill-start assist, anti-lock braking, vehicle dynamic control, and traction control. Also present in this model are parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and dual-front airbags, among others.
Nissan Livina Chassis
The 2024 Nissan Livina shares a platform with the Mitsubishi Xpander. Like the latter, it is also a compact, unibody MPV.
For suspensions, its front end uses a MacPherson strut while its rear is a torsion beam-type rear end. Braking is then handled by a front-ventilated disc brake and a rear drum brake.
