In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic that has ravaged the globe, numerous companies have stepped up to lend their aid to those affected. One of these companies is Nissan Philippines, which partnered up with Habitat for Humanity (HFH) Philippines. Together, the two entities have distributed numerous sanitation and hygiene kits to a local community located in Brgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.

“Engaging communities through programs like this is one way for Nissan to stay true to our commitment to enrich people's lives. We are grateful that our long-standing partnership with Habitat for Humanity has helped us address the need of these communities to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by promoting hygienic and sanitary practices.”

The aforementioned outreach activity was the latest in Nissan’s community engagements for this year. Apart from that, Nissan also donated several vehicles to the Philippine Red Cross. To be more specific, the Japanese car brand gave three Nissan Navaras in order for the said organization to operate more efficiently in their response to the Taal Volcano eruption earlier this year.

Back in February, Nissan also handed out meal donations to medical frontliners based in various hospitals in Metro Manila, who all were engaged in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the wake of two typhoons namely Rolly and Ulysses, Nissan also handed out typhoon relief donations to around 800 families. These families are mostly located in the Bicol and Cagayan regions, two of the hardest-hit by the aforementioned typhoons.
