Outside is still finished in white like typical X-Trail models, but the Nismo package now receives redesigned front and rear diffusers, and side skirts which have been painted in the usual black and red to contrast the white body.

The front gets updated with new radiator grille surrounded by gloss black panels and a sportier bumper. In the meantime, the rear features a new lower bumper spoiler with integrated parking sensors and dual chrome exhaust pipes. A new set of two-tone wheels completes the Nismo’s aggressive outfit.

In the cockpit, the X-Trail Nismo remains the same as regular X-Trails. It’s missing the sports seats, the Alcantara or pedals set to match the sportier exterior appearance.
The Nissan X-Trail Nismo 2017 is expected to incorporate a range of leading-edge driving technologies of Nissan Safety Shield including Forward Emergency Braking, Predictive Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Parking Sonars.

Under the hood, Nismo pack is offered with three engines options: a 1.6L diesel with 130 hp, a 2.0L diesel with 177 hp and a 1.6L turbo gasoline engine with 163 hp. All is mated to either a six-speed manual or a CVT as well as front-wheel drive or an AWD system.
