The next-generation 2023 Chevrolet Trax is poised to launch for the Philippine market. Chevrolet Philippines confirmed that it is debuting on July 4, 2023 with two variants: the Redline and RS. The brand also shared several details to look forward to on this upcoming crossover.

2023 Chevrolet Trax

The 2023 Chevrolet Trax

The all-new Trax is significantly larger than its predecessor. Specifically, it is now 279mm longer, and 51mm wider. Its styling has also vastly improved thanks to its new refined body contours, and its more modern design that sports LED lighting elements.

Peek inside the new Trax, and you’ll be greeted by a more refined-looking interior with a streamlined dashboard. The dashboard, in turn, supports an 11-inch central touchscreen and an 8-inch digital gauge cluster positioned upright for easier viewing.

One can also expect the Trax to provide ample room for its five occupants due to its larger overall size. Chevrolet also said that its trunk can now fit up to 1,405 liters of cargo with the rear seats down. That’s 168 liters more compared to its predecessor.

Likewise providing more convenience for the Trax Redline and RS is an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, smart key passive entry, an electronic parking brake, and a reverse camera. Only the RS trim gets wireless smartphone charging, a power liftgate, and an electronic sunroof.

Under the hood of the all-new Trax is a 1.2-liter inline-3 gasoline engine that’s mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. Chevrolet PH is yet to share this powertrain’s output figures, but the American version with the same mill can make up to 137 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque.

Those looking forward to this compact crossover SUV may also expect it to get a wide array of standard safety features. Details for this weren’t shared by Chevrolet PH just yet, but we hope that it gets a suite of advanced driver-assist features as well.
