No price increase on Mitsubishi PH model lineup until end of 2022

Think of this as a year-end treat from Mitsubishi.

Mitsubishi Motor Philippines Corporation (MMPC) is ending this year without any price increases for all of its models. This is despite the fact that other car brands in 2022 have already adjusted the price tags of their own model lineups.

Mitsubishi's price hold is valid until the end of 2022

The said price freeze on Mitsubishi’s model prices is valid until the end of 2022 only, and as mentioned above, it is also applicable for all their offered models. This includes the Mirage G4, the Mirage hatchback, the new Xpander, Xpander Cross, Strada, and the L300.

As a reference, one of the brands that have increased prices is Toyota Motor Philippines. This happened back in September 2022, and it was applicable to the Avanza, Raize, Innova, and Hilux.

Honda Cars Philippines also adjusted the pricing for the Brio, City, and several other models and variants back in July of this year.

In June 2022, Suzuki Philippines also made adjustments to the pricing for the S-Presso city car, Ertiga, and other models.

Also bumped up in price was the Geely Emgrand sedan. This occurred back in July. At the same time, the Chinese marque also introduced the Emgrand S MT variant.

Considering a Mitsu? Now might be the right time to get one

MMPC’s decision to hold off on price increases might offer an additional incentive to attract price-conscious car buyers to the marque. And so if you’re one of the folks considering a Mitsubishi, the brand encourages you to contact any of their local dealerships now.

With regards to why car brands increase a model’s price, this can be attributed to several factors. One of the reasons could be the current foreign exchange rate.

Another more recent one is the unstable prices of fuel. On a related note, the increase in the rate of inflation might also have to do with the aforementioned increases in model price. There’s also the fact that the demand for cars might have affected the prices as well. This is considering the fact that more people are returning to offices and other establishments.
