Mini Clubman Final Edition limited to 10 units in PH

This Clubman variant is limited to 1,969 units worldwide. 

Autohub Group has launched the Mini Clubman Final Edition for the Philippine market. As per its name, this model is the Clubman’s last hurrah before the BMW-owned UK carmaker decided to axe it in favor of a fully electric replacement.

To reference the Clubman’s initial global debut back in 1969, Mini is limiting the Final Edition’s production numbers to just 1,969 units, with only 10 being allocated to the Philippines. On that note, they gave it some special details to give it a standout style. 

Based on the Clubman Cooper S, the Final Edition gets a special set of optional colors. These are Nanuq White, Enigmatic Black, and Melting Silver. These are combined with copper-colored exterior bits found around the radiator grille, around the upper window line, on the grille surround, as well as on copper stripes on the car’s hood. 

The vehicle’s C-pillar also gets a special “1 of 1969” badge. Plus, it gets to ride on a set of unique-looking 18-inch wheels that feature a combination of black and copper.

Inside, the Clubman Final Edition gets special badging on its steering wheel, on the floor mats, and the door sills. A majority of the interior is upholstered in brown and black leather, but the center console features eye-catching Sage Green Dark and Shimmer Copper trim pieces. 

The front cabin likewise gets a pair of Mini Yours leather sports seats with ample bolstering. The latter features swen-in Final Edition badges that come in dark maroon. On the dashboard meanwhile, is an 8.8-inch touchscreen display that’s equipped with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and other apps. 

Being a Clubman, this variant likewise boasts oodles of usable space. Mini says that its luggage compartment can hold up to 1,250 liters. It also has a dual-zone automatic climate control system, LED ambient lighting, a wireless smartphone charger, and a sunroof, among other features.

Under the hood of the Clubman Final Edition is a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline four-banger that can churn out up to 189 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. Power is sent to its front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. 

As mentioned above, only 10 of these models will be sold in the Philippine market. So if you want to own the last Clubman before it gets replaced by the Mini Countryman EV, then you better hurry and visit your nearest Mini PH dealership.

Mini Clubman Launch

The MINI Clubman was launched in 2007 as a bigger variant of the MINI hatch. The first generation was designed with an increased length, legroom, cargo space, and a longer wheelbase. It was manufactured and engineered by automobile giant BMW and was offered under the MINI marque.  

In 2012, the automobile company previewed a concept car at the Geneva Motor Show named the MINI Clubvan, a commercial panel van. It went on sale in 2013 but was withdrawn in July of the same year due to low sales.  

The second-generation Clubman debuted at the Frankfurt IAA Motor Show in 2015 bearing a revitalized look.

The John Cooper Works version can make up to 306 horsepower.

A distinct feature of this classy automobile is its elegant body which measures 4,253mm long, 1,800mm wide, and 1,441mm tall. It features a sporty silhouette with broad shoulders that goes well with its trademark dual chrome doors.

Displayed on its front are a curvy bumper, sleek fog lights, round headlights, and a chrome grille. 

Its rear is affixed with LED tail lights, chrome-plated dual tailpipes, and the acclaimed split doors which can be opened using the Comfort Access System and Easy Opener function. The cargo space at the back allows 1,250-liters of load.

Its sophisticated cabin offers a roomy head and legroom that can accommodate five fully-grown passengers. For its interior, the legendary automobile company allows buyers to specifically choose what type of leather and fabric will be used. 

Drivers will be delighted with the multifunctional steering wheel and the elegant dashboard complete with features such as the speedometer with voice instructions, screen maps, and directional arrows.

Technology & Safety Features

It is built with the reliable MINI Center Instrument that provides entertainment, news,  and other online services. Higher variants are equipped with the MINI Navigation System that offers route navigation, a night mode function, and a Point of Interest search function that securely assists you in your destination.

In terms of safety, it comes with six airbags, automatic stability control, dynamic brake light, electric parking brake, and park distance control.

Platform & Chassis

This classy car is built using the BMW UKL2 platform with a rigid chassis body. Braking power is supported by four disc brakes equipped with an anti-lock braking system paired with electronic brakeforce distribution.

Engine & Drivetrain

The all-new MINI Clubman comes in three engine options: a 1.5-liter inline-3 for the standard variant, a turbocharged 2.0-liter, inline-4 for the S variant, and a turbocharged 2.0-liter, inline-4 for the John Cooper Works model. 

The standard and S variants are paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission while the John Cooper Works is matched with an eight-speed sport automatic transmission.
