MG Philippines has brought numerous vehicles, including heritage and new models, to its Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) booth. But perhaps the biggest surprise is the introduction of the MG ZS Nite Edition.
MG Philippines unveils the ZS Nite Edition at the 2023 MIAS
The MG ZS Nite Edition 1.5AT looks to exude sleeker styling with the addition of black accents. As per its name, the Nite Edition exterior package comes with black trims, black multi-spoke alloy wheels, and a newly-colored grille that replaces the chrome surround with a darker finish.
Step inside the ZS Nite Edition and one will find new amenities including a 10-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This touchscreen is then paired with a six-speaker system for a fuller listening experience. Also, the said headunit is used for displaying the new rearview camera.

Completing the ZS Nite Edition’s new equipment list is the integration of a powered tailgate, allowing easier access to the vehicle’s cargo area.
As of this writing, only the said features were disclosed for the MG ZS Nite Edition. But looking at the variant name, the model should be powered by the same 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated engine found in other ZS models. The power unit is capable of delivering 112 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque. It sends power to the front wheels via a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
The MG ZS Nite Edition is priced at Php 1,018,888, which slots just below the top-of-the-line ZS Alpha with a Php 1,048,000 price tag. However, MG Philippines said that the Nite Edition is a standalone variant and not part of the ZS range.
1969 MGB GT
As mentioned earlier, the company has a lot of entries at the auto show including a heritage model. This model is the 1969 MGB GT, which is said to be one of the British-bred automaker’s more desirable roadsters from yesteryear.
You can check out the MG Philippines’ full MIAS roster at the World Trade Center in Pasay City until April 16.

Morris Garage, or simply MG, introduced the MG ZS in October 2018. It was also the car company’s local relaunch under a new distributor, The Covenant Car Company Incorporated (TCCI). Later in 2021, MG brought in the MG ZS-T as the model's new top-spec trim.
Most might think that MG is a new player in the car industry but they have been releasing innovative models since 1924. The said company supplies quality vehicles in China, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Chile, and Australia.
