After the local debut, the Mazda CX-8 2018 will be sold in other auto markets outside Japan.

As claimed by Hiroshi Inoue - Managing Executive Officer at Mazda Motor Corporation, the much-awaited Mazda CX-8 2018 will decidedly be sold outside the home country. This is truly good news for Mazda fans as the CX-8 is expected to be roomy a three-row SUV based on its famous brother CX-5.

According to latest car news, Mazda Japan has started accepting reservations for the forthcoming Mazda CX-8. Since the CX-9 won’t be available there, the CX-8 will snatch the title away from its bro CX-5 to become Mazda’s flagship model in Land of Cherry Blossoms.

Important specs of the all-new Mazda CX-8 2018 have been partially unveiled. Specifically, it will be powered by a 2.2-liter SkyActiv-D engine pushing out 188 hp and 450 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic gearbox. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are all available for customers to choose.

However, remember that those details are exclusive to Japanese market. At the present, we’re still unsure which market will be lucky enough to get the new CX-8. As a result, engine options would allegedly be replaced by the SkyActiv-G petrol engines.
