The branch features state-of-the-art facilities.

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) continues to expand its reach to more clients. This is because it has recently opened a new licensing office at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX).

Present at the LTO PITX- Parañaque Licensing Center opening ceremony was Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, together with LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante. Also in attendance were DOTr undersecretary for Road Infrastructure Mark Steven Pastor, DOTr finance undersecretary Giovanni Lopez, LTO NCR West Regional Director, Atty. Chuck Guinto, as well as Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez.

This new LTO licensing center is situated on the second floor of the PITX building, able to accommodate up to 150 clients in a day. It also has its own driving course, and LTO claims that this new licensing center consists of “state-of-the-art" facilities.

Here is a list of the LTO services that one can avail of from the new LTO PITX licensing center:

  • Driver’s license application
  • Driver’s license renewal
  • Change of driver’s license class from Non-professional to professional
  • Student permit application
  • License duplication
  • Addition of driver’s license restriction codes

Apart from what has been mentioned above, the LTO PITX licensing center also comes with priority lanes for persons with disabilities (PWDs), senior citizens, pregnant women, and overseas Filipino workers.

Currently, the said facility is not yet able to offer vehicle registration renewal. Then again, the LTO says that they are working to offer this service at the PITX branch in the future.

Of note, PITX has been one of the usual spots where the ‘LTO on Wheels’ program set up shop. With the new facility though, the LTO will be able to bring its services to a greater number of people on a more permanent basis.

So, if you’re from the south of Manila and you need to renew your license, this new facility might be a viable option for you.
