Don’t have time to visit an LTO branch? This one’s for you.

If you’re one of those who need to update their car registration but can’t make it to a Land Transportation Office (LTO) branch farther up north, then be aware that the agency’s “LTO on Wheels” program will be making another appearance at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX).

To be exact, the service will be at PITX on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. LTO personnel will be stationed at the terminal’s Gate 2 on the second floor, and will welcome walk-in customers.

Of note, the LTO on Wheels at PITX will be offering motor vehicle registration renewal and smoke emission testing services. They can also provide third-party liability insurance (TPL) as a requisite for registration renewal.

For those unaware, the LTO has been offering this service to the public since 2019. It has frequently partnered with PITX to give the public better access to LTO services. In 2021, LTO on Wheels also visited the Kartilya ng Katipunan in Manila, Barangay Bel-Air in Makati, and Ayala Alabang Village, among other locations in Metro Manila. The service also made its way to the CDC – Public Safety Division Pavilion in Clark, Pampanga.

Through the LTO on Wheels program, those who do not have the luxury of time have been provided easier access to many of the said agency's services. During the LTO’s visit to Clark, among those who availed of the agency’s services were the Aeta community residing in the immediate vicinity.

When they say "on wheels", they weren't kidding.

The LTO on Wheels program also eliminates the issue of fixers, as these are limited to the fixed branches and sub-branches of the LTO. Furthermore, the LTO also claims that this program is more compliant with social distancing measures, which might be better than visiting a standard LTO branch during the COVID-19 pandemic.
