Hyundai Veloster 2019 price announced in the US market

The Hyundai Veloster 2019 begins coming to the U.S. dealers in the 2nd quarter of 2018 and the Korean carmaker has already made an announcement about the hatch’s price. So now, the Veloster 2019 has a starting price at $18,500, extra $885 for destination charge, which is $400 more expensive than the previous model’s base price.

The entry-level Veloster is powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine which is capable of cranking out 147 hp and 179 Nm of torque. The engine works in a conjunction with a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission with 3 modes for driving: Smart, Sport and Normal. To get a turbocharged engine for the Veloster, you have to make an additional payment of $22,900 for destination charge.

Meanwhile, the 1.6L 4-cylinder can dole out 201 hp and 264 Nm of torque or 274 Nm if adding a temporary overboost. The 1.6L is combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox and having the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission will reduce at least $25,400 of the price.

The hatch also has essential features for driver assists such as Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning and Blind-Spot Collision Warning, optional LED headlamps with High Beam Support. It comes available with an optional adaptive cruise control, an 8-speaker Infinity Premium stereo and faster-ratio power steering.

Stepping inside, the Hyundai Veloster 2019 interior is adorned with a 7’’ infotainment display which can be upgraded to an 8’’ screen. Additionally, an optional head-up display is set to project up an 8’’ transparent piece located behind the dashboard.

The Turbo R-Spec and base 2.0L version get cloth upholstery, the 2.0 Premium receives a leather-fabric mixture while the Turbo Ultimate variant is pampered with a full leather wrap with a 2-tone color scheme.
