Honda Cars PH to award 23rd National Skills Contest winners

The program aims to improve the skills of its service associates.

Maintenance is one of the most important aspects of car ownership as it helps prolong the life of vehicles. This is why Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) is supporting the 23rd National Skills Contest (NSC) by hosting the program.

Honda Cars Philippines is set to award the winners of the 23rd NSC

Now, HCPI is set to recognize the winners of the 23rd edition of the aforementioned contest. The final round concluded last February 19, 2023, and the awarding ceremony will be held at HCPI’s upcoming Dealer Conference.

The NSC is said to encourage Honda dealer service associates to develop a challenging spirit that would help them strive to improve their skills based on global standards. Winners of the 23rd NSC will be the Philippine representatives in the Asia Oceania Skills Contest in May 2023. They will also get the chance to participate in the World Skills Contest in October 2023.

Here are the seven categories under the NSC:

NSC Categories

  • Quick Repair Category – Quality and speed
  • General Repair Category – Fix-right the first time
  • Paint Repair Category – Honda paint repair standard
  • Body Repair Category – Honda body repair standard
  • Service Advisor BP Category – Interpersonal skills and quotation accuracy
  • Service Advisor GR Category – Interpersonal skills and quotation accuracy
  • Customer Relations Category – Customer care/satisfaction

“The National Skills Contest recognizes the valuable skills of dealer service associates and their contribution to the joy and peace of mind [of] our customers,” said HCPI President Mr. Masahiko Nakamura.

“We expect that team members throughout the dealership network will uphold their good practices and share their abilities through this program so that we can also enhance customers’ safety while protecting the quality of our products,” added Nakamura.

Apart from the NSC, HCPI had various efforts to take care of its customers through after-sales programs. Last year, the company rolled out promos that offer discounted parts and accessories. It also rewarded owners who follow preventive maintenance schedules (PMS) by providing discount vouchers.
