GAC PH offering GS4, GS3 crossover vehicles with P90,000 cash discount

The popularity of crossover vehicles in the Philippines has been continuously growing. This is why almost all car brands in the local market have a specific model for the said segment.

GAC Motor Philippines is one of the brands in the country that want to take a slice of the crossover pie. To do just that, GAC PH is offering the GS4 compact crossover and the GS3 subcompact crossover at a discounted price this March 2023. 

The GAC GS4 is a five-seater compact crossover that’s equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. It puts out 166 hp and 265 Nm of torque, and the engine is connected to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. To put things in perspective, the GS4 goes up against the likes of the Ford Territory, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, and MG RX5, among others.

The GS4 has an athletic look along with an assertive stance. It has LED headlights, daytime running lights, LED taillights, and rear fog lamps. The GS4 also has a panoramic sunroof, which is becoming a standard feature among brand-new crossover vehicles offered in the market today. And oh, it also has an eight-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay but no Android Auto. 

GAC PH is offering the GS4 with a single variant, priced at Php 1,160,000. With the Php 90,000 discount, you can drive home a GAC GS4 for only Php 1,070,000.

The next GAC crossover offered with a cash discount is the GS3 five-seater subcompact sedan. Under the hood, you’ll find a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that produces 113 hp and 150 Nm of torque. The engine is then connected to a six-speed automatic transmission.

The GS3 has two variants, the entry-level GS and the top-spec GB. Standard exterior features among the two trims are halogen headlights, LED taillights, and power-adjustable side mirrors. The top-spec GS3 GB is fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels while the GS has 16-inch alloys. 

Both the GS and GB come with standard safety tech such as the following: dual front airbags, an electronic stability program, hill assist, an anti-lock braking system, electric brakeforce distribution, hill descent control, traction control, and Isofix, among others. 

The GAC GS3 GS is priced at Php 898,000. For the month of March, you can get it for only Php 808,000. The top-spec GS3 GB, on the other hand, retails at Php 968,000. With the Php 90,000 cash discount, GAC PH lets you take home the GS3 GB at Php 878,000.

Meanwhile, GAC PH is also offering the GN6 MPV with a Php 90,000 price cut. The standard retail price of the said MPV is Php 1,350,000. As such, you can get it at Php 1,260,000 until March 31, 2023.

GAC GS3 Emzoom

The GAC GS3 Emzoom is a subcompact crossover. For the Philippine market, it has three different variants. There’s the GS, GB, and the top-spec GL. Prices for these trims range from Php 998,000 to Php 1,198,000.  

Size-wise, the GS3 Emzoom GL is 4,446mm long, 1,850mm wide, and 1,600mm in height. The GS and GB trims meanwhile, are 4,410mm long.  

Under the hood of the next-gen GS3 is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that can make up to 174 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque. It then uses a seven-speed wet-type dual-clutch automatic gearbox sending power to its front wheels.   

Locally, the GS3 Emzoom competes against the Geely Coolray, Kia Seltos, Honda HR-V, Toyota Raize, etc.

The next-gen GAC GS3 Emzoom was introduced to the Philippine market in June 2023. It was released locally with three trims: the GS, GB, and the top-spec GL.

As standard, the GS3 Emzoom gets LED headlamps, LED taillights, and LED daytime running lamps. Select trims then get a sunroof, rain-sensing wipers, and a set of 19-inch wheels.  

Other features found on the GS3’s exterior include power folding side mirrors, a heated rear windshield, and rear fog lamps.

Step inside the GS3 Emzoom is a cabin that can fit up to five occupants. Higher spec trims of this crossover then get an electronically adjustable driver’s seat, automatic air-conditioning, leather seat covers, a rear center armrest, and a 60:40 split folding rear seat.  

Technology & Safety Features

Present on the higher-spec trims is a 7-inch LCD gauge cluster. All trims meanwhile, are kitted out with 10.25-inch touchscreens with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Only the GL gets wireless smartphone charging. For speakers, the GS gets two, the GB four, and the GL five.  

All trims get cruise control and rear parking sensors. But only the top-spec model gets adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, traffic jam assist, high beam assist, a 360-degree view camera, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, etc.  

Other standard safety features present on this GAC model are anti-lock braking, stability control, tire pressure monitoring, ISOFIX child seat anchors, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, etc. 

The GL gets the most airbags numbering at six. The GB meanwhile gets four, while the GS gets two.  

Platform & Chassis

Handling ride quality for the GS 3 Emzoom is a MacPherson strut front suspension and a torsion beam rear suspension.  

Engine & Drivetrain

Powering the GS3 Emzoom is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that can make up to 174 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to its front wheels via a seven-speed wet-type dual-clutch gearbox.  

There are five available colors for the Philippine-spec GS3 Emzoom. This includes Salt Lake Blue, Graphene Grey, Moonlight Grey, Ivory White, and Superstar Silver.  

The GAC GS3 Emzoom is up to par against its rivals when it comes to engine output. The same goes for its ADAS systems, though that’s only valid for its top-spec GL model. It is, however, one of the cheaper models in the market today that comes with both a power tailgate and sunroof.
