GAC Motor PH targets to deliver over 2,000 unit sales this year

GAC Motor Philippines recently held a dealer conference which saw the attendance of all of its dealer partners. During the said event, Astara Philippines along with its aforementioned dealer partners, has committed to deliver over 2,000 units sales by the end of the year.

The targeted figure represents the dealer partner’s confidence in the GAC brand. It likewise indicates that they share with Astara a vision for a wider market presence in the local scene. 

GAC Motor brand head Franz Decloedt expressed that this target is achievable by the GAC Motor team as well as the brand’s dealer partners. This was evident since the conference saw a high level of attendance from GAC dealerships from around the country. 

In his address to the attendees, Decloedt said: “Our dealer conference was a remarkable display of unity and determination. The support we’ve received from our dealers is truly inspiring and underscores our shared commitment to make GAC Motor a trusted brand by more Filipinos.” 

The event in question saw the presence of a number of GAC’s dealer principals, as well as their executives. There were representatives from the ANC Group, Angcore Group, ANGS Automotive, Autokid, Autoperfection, Auto Icon, Davao Bonifacio Motors Inc., Dreamcar, The Gateway Group, Global Cars, Legado Motors Inc., and Wheels Inc.

Do remember that GAC already sold over 1,000 vehicles from January to August 2023 alone. To this end, one can say that the company is well on its way to hitting its mark. As a side note, the company says that a huge chunk of sales figures from earlier in the year were from the GS8 seven-seater SUV. 

Further reinforcing the brand’s road to the 2,000-unit mark is the fact that it has had successive car releases for the local market. The GS8 launched back in January 2023, while the Emkoo and GS3 Emzoom were introduced in the succeeding months. The brand likewise showcased its all-new Empow sedan via a recent track day event at the Batangas Racing Circuit. The most recent GAC model launched in the Philippines is the GS8 4WD, which adds an off-road capable trim to the brand’s flagship SUV model.
