GAC Motor Philippines continues to drive its positive sales momentum as it managed to sell over 1,000 vehicles from January to August 2023. The car brand said that this is a record achievement for GAC Motor in the Philippines since being under the helm of Astara as its official distributor.

According to industry data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI), GAC Motor posted year-to-date retail sales of 1,017 units as of August 2023. The car brand added that this shows GAC Motor’s “strong presence and commitment to delivering top-notch vehicles.”
GAC Motor Philippines has been under Astara for less than a year, which makes the said sales milestone more significant and meaningful to the team behind the Chinese car brand.
"We are beyond thrilled to share yet another remarkable milestone for GAC. In a mere eight months, we have proudly welcomed over 1,000 delighted GAC owners across the nation,” said GAC Motor brand head Franz Decloedt.
GAC Motor PH is not looking to slow down as it plans to sell more vehicles that are poised to eventually reach the 2,000th sales mark by the end of 2023.
“Our optimism and determination are stronger than ever as we set our sights on breaking the 2,000 mark by year-end,” Decloedt added.
GAC GS8 2WD
Leading the charge for GAC Motor PH’s sales is said to be the GS8 seven-seater crossover SUV as well as the all-new GS3 Emzoom. GAC Motor PH said that the two vehicles have been well received by the local market. However, the car brand did not share the exact sales breakdown per car model.
“The GS8 has had tremendous success since being launched in the Philippines and continues to be one of our best-selling nameplates. It is masterfully designed to exude confidence on the road and is perfect for customers seeking distinction and refinement in their SUV,” said Decloedt.
GAC Motor PH recently launched the GS8 4WD, which is offered at an introductory price of Php 2,548,000. Of note, the introductory price for the GS8 4WD is until September 30, 2023 only.

“We are fully committed to accelerate our network growth across the country as this will enhance the accessibility of GAC and help ensure a convenient purchase and worry-free after-sales experience,” Decloedt shared.
Previously, GAC Motor PH said that it intends to have a total of 20 dealerships by the end of 2023.
